Enjoy our 2 days Huacachina tour from Lima! Only 3 hours south of Lima lies the department of Ica, home to the Paracas National Reserve (The Peruvian Galapagos) as well as the Huacachina Oasis. Our 2-day tour aims at visiting all the best attractions the region has to offer. You’ll boat around the Ballestas Islands to observe a variety of wildlife followed by a beautiful coast where the desert meets the pacific ocean. Here you will observe the abundance of sea life and rural fishing techniques by the local townsmen. Did we mention the red sand beach!? After visiting the Paracas region, we will make our way to the Huacachina Oasis. On route, we will enjoy a pisco and wine tasting because making it to the sand dunes. 3:00h

From your hotel, arrange a transfer to the bus station Cruz del Sur Javier Prado at 3:00 am. After a 10minute ride to the station, approach the counter to get your tickets printed. Once you have your tickets printed get ready for your 4:00 am bus ride to Paracas (3hrs).

8:00h

Once in Paracas, our team member will pick you up at the bus station. Here you will be transferred to the office to leave any extra luggage you won’t be needing for the new few hours. At 8:00 am we board from the Paracas Hotel dock and make our way to the Islas Ballestas! On this tour, we will see penguins, sea lions, birds of all kinds, and beautiful rock formations and learn about the history of the islands. Once you return, we head to the National Reserve to explore the Mad Max desert landscape and beautiful coast. This area is home to an ancient ocean and at one of our stops, you’ll be able to see the different fossilized shells scattered through the landscape. A beautiful sight! We conclude our time in Paracas by visiting the red sand beach and the mirador to really appreciate the vastness of the area before our private transfer to Ica.

15:00h

At noon we make our way to the Huacachina – the only oasis in the Americas! Before arriving at the oasis, we enjoy a light wine and pisco tasting at Catador vineyard. Pisco is a Peruvian national drink made of fermented grapes. Finally, our day comes to an end by enjoying adrenaline-filled sand buggies and sandboarding at sunset. Get ready for tons of photos!

Finally, you will have free time to appreciate one of the best sunsets in the Huacachina dunes. Rest in the Hotel.

After enjoying an early breakfast, we will swing by your hotel to transfer you to the bus station. Once at the bus station, approach the counter to get your tickets printed. After you, all check in enjoy the bus ride back to Lima. Thank you for traveling with us!
